Meet Cynthia
Clear Cane Chronicles grew from my experience over seven weeks in three hospitals and the 25 years I’ve spent navigating the healthcare system since then.
As a proponent for person-centered care, I help healthcare organizations, insurers, and academic programs apply its principles. This means building partnerships with patients so that healthcare extends beyond the clinical setting and into people’s lives.
I bring both lived experience and professional expertise to this work. My PhD reflects years of training in research, analysis, and communication that help me translate complex healthcare systems into practical insights to improve care for patients.
As a keynote speaker, author, and consultant, I blend humor, storytelling, and evidence-based frameworks to elevate learning. Whether on stage or speaking with a small group, I use my story to spark new ways of thinking about how healthcare can put people at the center.
